okay I give in

I was never going to "Blog" but you know, Every One is doing it so... Really I went to leave a comment on sisters blog and it spit me out because I was not a "blogger".



Now you will find that my grammar is horrid and my spelling sub par (I am a student of spell check). You will have to get over it, I did. I didn't graduate from high school because of my excellent grammar, but rather my willingness to clean desks for extra credit (true story).



The whole of our country and even our whole planet seems to driven on opinion and gossip. The media does not report strait facts very often. The major media outlets seem to have kicked that habit sometime in the eighties. Reports seem to be opinions or at best he said or she said. Every outlet seems to have a position and the spin from that position. I listened to the last half of the presidential debate Friday. One candidate would say a half truth to better his position and the other would fallow suite. I do think one did obviously have more understanding and depth, but that again is my opinion. After the debate comes the panel one says what he thinks than the other says the opposite, leaving you hanging in the middle, or to create an opinion of your own. Well this my domain and here my opinions rule.



First opinion Government tends to gravitate to self serving instead of public service. We have a energy crises so what does our government do ? Free up our racecourses ? Aid in producing more energy ? In one of the last energy bills I understand they outlawed incandescent light bulbs (the ones you like) by the year 2010. All you will be able to get are the fluorescent (the Al Gore bulbs). This suppose to help save the planet and help with the energy problem. What ever !

I am sure they use less electricity, not enough to make up for our growing demand. As for the environment, fluorescent are allot more toxic than our regular bulbs. Why then are we being punished with irritating form of lighting. Its like it is with Christan rock, it don't make Christianity better, it only makes rock worse. these new bulbs wont make our problems go away, only make swear in morning when it take a half hour for them to reach a level of brightness that will allow me to tell if I am putting on my clothes or my wife's. What makes the politicians think, hey I know how we can save the planet and fix our energy problems, lets make every one use these more expensive irritating light bulbs. Was it lobbyists? or bribes from somewhere? I wish I knew. I know they didn't ask me because I would have told them.



This week we are hearing of an other bailout out of companies that went were they were not suppose to go. 700 Billion that's like 6 thousand for every taxpayer in this country. You tell me whats up with that. It seems that our current economy runs only on spending. People have spent what they could, than borrowed on credit and spent more. That was not enough so credit was extended and extended till it burst. Now the banks have to be bailed out so that more credit can be extended. Will that work? I have an Idea why don't they give every house hold a million dollars if you make under a 100,000 a year. It would probably be less then the 700 billion and we could bail our own butts out and leave the fat cats to thin up. When did America go from being a self built country to having to be bailed out. I am sure that those who can still be independent or self sufficient will walk through this crises without much damage.

It burns me that our politicians pay more attention to what that "big companies" want rather than what our citizens need.



Well that's enough opinion for one night. Just remember that as darkness extends over one part of the earth, Light increases over the other. Go towards the light!
