Jens Yard

Jens has a back yard which he has clammed as his own. He spends much of his days out in the back yard. He has fun on the slide left by the previous owners. He also loves to dig in the dirt. He has found every little thing there is to find. Jens also likes to go to the wood fence and work the neighbors three dogs into a frenzy. This past week was one of good weather. It allowed Jens to start a tan. If you look close at our roof you can see the bundles of shingles. Marv the roofer took advantage of the good days to put a new roof on our house.

Yyesterday was a warm morning and as the day progressed a cold wind came in. I kept looking around to see if there were any dead people. Ya know like the movie. And as the sun went down the flakes of snow began to fall. We went from sixty something to thirty something in a few hours.

We had been using the grill but as you can see we won't use it tonight.

Jens chose not to play outside today.

Ya know how you pray for things and they seem to be just okay? Then you look back with a better view and then you think wow that worked out to well. This is how I feel now that my family and I are in the same house again after 7 weeks of a long distance relationship. As I was traveling between Grover and Sheridan, the roads were always in good condition. Even the day of the big move we had bare roads all the way on the 515 mile trip. The photo shows the Monday after we arrived, and were all unloaded. There has been snow on the ground, and roads sense. We started this whole move thing whale I still had work in Grover. My former boss told me as we were leaving things for him had slowed and what good timing I had for moving to a area with more work. Although there is more work here Jackson electric were I work has seen a slow down as well. Our hours are down from 50 hours a week to 40 hours a week. This has allowed me to get my family settled and spend some time with them. If we had moved latter in the spring or summer I am afraid that my work hours would not let us have this time to get things set.
This past week has given us a bit of snow, making us feel more at home, depressed but more like the valley we left. Ya know as we were leaving Star Valley I felt a bit like Laman and Lemuel mite have felt leaving Jerusalem. I liked it here, I have Friends, I like the stuff I have here, I like my house, now tell me again why I am ding this. Maybe some day I will look back on all this and say, what a genius I was to make this move.
