Ya know how you pray for things and they seem to be just okay? Then you look back with a better view and then you think wow that worked out to well. This is how I feel now that my family and I are in the same house again after 7 weeks of a long distance relationship. As I was traveling between Grover and Sheridan, the roads were always in good condition. Even the day of the big move we had bare roads all the way on the 515 mile trip. The photo shows the Monday after we arrived, and were all unloaded. There has been snow on the ground, and roads sense. We started this whole move thing whale I still had work in Grover. My former boss told me as we were leaving things for him had slowed and what good timing I had for moving to a area with more work. Although there is more work here Jackson electric were I work has seen a slow down as well. Our hours are down from 50 hours a week to 40 hours a week. This has allowed me to get my family settled and spend some time with them. If we had moved latter in the spring or summer I am afraid that my work hours would not let us have this time to get things set.
This past week has given us a bit of snow, making us feel more at home, depressed but more like the valley we left. Ya know as we were leaving Star Valley I felt a bit like Laman and Lemuel mite have felt leaving Jerusalem. I liked it here, I have Friends, I like the stuff I have here, I like my house, now tell me again why I am ding this. Maybe some day I will look back on all this and say, what a genius I was to make this move.

YaY! finally we get to see a picture of your new house! Looks nice. Guess moving is a really big change - but it seems that things are all working out well for you. What you said reminds me of the song - "These things shall pass and some great mornin' We'll look back and smile at heartaches we have known; So don't forget, when shadows gather, The Lord our God is still the King upon the throne." Sounds like some of the messages from General Conference too. You have the right attitude! Keep posting - its good to hear how things are going!

I agree with Leanne's comment. It was good to see your new home and to hear about how you are being blessed. Keep up the good work and good luck with settling in and meeting new people.

The thing is said...

Welcome to the wilderness!
